Exact weight of 100oz bars?
Back when silver was driven off Angel Falls I grabbed a bunch of 100oz Ohio Precious Metals bars from Tulving. I just weighed them on my digital scale and they're all about 109oz. Just to be certain, I recalibrated my scale and then double-checked it by adding the calibration weights to the load, and the scale is dead-on. Not that I'm complaining about a 9% bonus, but why so much? Time to x-ray them or do a SG test?

Re: Exact weight of 100oz bars?
Avoirdupois or troy ounces?
PMs are always measured in troy oz. (31.10 g) whereas the more common avoirdupois oz is 28.35 g. 31.10/28.35 = 1.097 Could it be that your balance doesn't give the weight in t.oz but in common ounces? Then 109 oz would be about right, or a bit too low actually. |

When you sell make the sure buyer knows it is a 109 ounces.
That is a sweet score. T |

Yeah, sleep is a wonderful thing, unfortunately I've had to give it up -- when I switch the scale to troy ounces it reads right. Duh.
